The fall membership meeting was held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 via Zoom. Candidates for the open positions were presented in addition to union updates and announcements. A formal election was not held due to the exact number of candidates for open positions and were chosen by acclamation as follows:

50th Anniversary Gala

Thank you to everyone who joined us at CTU’s 50^th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Eagle Eye Banquet Center, East Lansing. It was a wonderful event with dinner, dancing, historical displays, a photobooth, with special gifts for members and their guests.

If you were unable to attend any of the anniversary events or had scheduling conflicts, you still get a CTU gift for being a member. Contact the CTU office to schedule a time to pick up your gift.

And for CT members on other campuses, if you aren’t able to get to Lansing or East Lansing for the events, we will be bringing the goodies to you later this fall.

We haven’t forgotten you! 😊

MSU Benefits Open Enrollment opens next week. Yup NEXT TUESDAY is October 1. This is the time when you need to affirm your benefits choices and make sure you have filled out your spousal affidavit to make sure your spouse has benefits. You have received information from MSU Human Resources on this too. there is a Benefits Fair on Oct 3, 12-7, at the Breslin Center. Check out all of the resources at hr.msu.edu.

Dear CT,

We will not hold an election in October. Our constitution provides that we hold an election only if one of the open positions are contested. We now have only four candidates vying for the four available 2-year director positions, and we have only one candidate running for each of the other open positions.

Instead of an election, the candidates will be affirmed by acclimation of the members at the October 23 Membership Meeting. We need a quorum at this meeting so please mark your calendar now to attend on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. As always, lots of prizes and interesting topics for discussion.
